We will not rest until everybody in the World has a chance to Recover
Dear Contributor,
Are you aware of the epidemic crisis of alcohol, addiction, and abuse (domestic violence)? Damage from alcohol, addiction, and abuse knows no boundaries: affecting all ages and both genders; from all walks of life. In March 2007, the Surgeon General released a Call to Action to expand public knowledge about alcohol as the drug of choice, and to encourage action by individuals and organizations nationwide.
Could you help us prevent this destruction of our children, families, friends, neighbors, and co-workers? Spirit Recovery Church helps those with broken spirits from alcohol, addiction, and abuse to recover. Spirit Recovery Church is a Christ- and bible-based, non-denominational church, founded by those who have recovered from alcohol, addiction, or abuse, and could not find a ‘church home’ which made them feel comfortable and accepted. We can speak directly to the those affected by alcohol, drugs, and abuse to help them recover and rebuild their lives.
Currently, we provide Prevention and Recovery Education, 12-Step Help, and Peer Group Support. Our long term vision is to provide a full spectrum of services to those affected by alcohol, addiction, and abuse, including: 24-hour help line; Medical and ‘Detox’ treatment; Emergency shelter, clothing, food, etc.; Life Skills training; Job Skills training/placement; and other needs.
Funding is needed to continue our current outreach and grow to provide more. A specific list of current needs to enable us to help others (with estimated retail costs) includes:
